A little while ago, I had the privilege of contributing to an extraordinary art book alongside 80 of the most talented artists in the industry, all in support of The Art Ludique Museum.
The Art Ludique Museum holds a unique place in the world as the first gallery and museum dedicated to artists in animation, video games, comics, and concept art. Its founders, Jean-Jacques and Diane Launier, have long pushed for the recognition of these artists. Personally, I’ve discovered so many inspiring artists and exhibitions through their work, and I’m beyond grateful for the vibrant platform they’ve built for artists like me.
Created for new generations, this art book is a tribute to the artists the museum has celebrated for over 20 years and reflects on the evolving nature of creativity. My illustration in it takes a cynical look at how AI, by overshadowing artists, threatens the existence of real, relatable, human-made heroes in our stories. The kind of heroes that once made us dream of becoming one as kids.
This art book is also an important initiative to support their non-profit association, helping them bring future exhibitions to audiences around the world.
